MSF Conflict Appeal

by MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES (UK)

MSF teams are working around the clock and across the globe in dangerous conflict zones.

We triage trauma patients, carry out emergency surgery and deliver mental health support for people caught in airstrikes, shootings and indiscriminate attacks. But violence isn't the only threat to life.

Conflict cripples a healthcare system, cutting people off from the vital services they need – medication for a chronic illness, vaccination against a childhood virus, maternity care for a young mother.

From Yemen to Democratic Republic of Congo, the impact of conflict goes far beyond the frontlines. And so do we...

Why now?

Right now, people affected by conflict and war make up the largest proportion of Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) patients. Around the world, our medical projects need funding, staff and supplies to save lives from the consequences of violence.

What is MSF doing?

In Yemen, while our hospitals care for the war-wounded, we help pregnant women who have travelled for hours to give birth safely. And, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, as families flee armed clashes, we treat malnourished children in crowded camps.
